Referee Continuation Training - Aug 13th

With the pre-season fast approaching we have planned a field training session, followed with a zoom session, for all of our GSSRA officials! Both sessions will be instructed by our state mentors, Jack Schultz and John Santos. Those senior officials that would like to help may reply to this email with their interest and we will get you in contact with Jack and John. We have a schedule set up for August 13th from 10am-12pm in the Myrtle Beach area. A location will be finalized once we get a confirmed number of officials to attend. Our zoom session would follow from 6pm-8pm and a link will be sent out to all those who wish to join. You may choose to attend the field session, the zoom session or both. The purpose of this session is to prepare ourselves for the season ahead and get everyone up to speed with changes to the Laws of The Game and its updated clarifications. We will also be offering a PFT (Physical Fitness Test) for those that are interested in advancing to higher levels of play. This is a requirement for officials who wish to become a Regional Referee. But this PFT is open to all that want to give it a try to test yourself and find out what it takes to move up. More information on this can be requested from Gary Smith, Jack Schultz, or John Santos. This session can also be used for those new officials that need to complete a field session to receive their badge. Our ARA, Gary Smith, will have those available to us once the session is completed.
